13.8. Exhaust system
Arrangement of rubber suspension brackets of fastening of an exhaust pipe
The exhaust system on all models consists of three parts: a reception exhaust pipe in which the catalyst, a middle part with the intermediate muffler and a back part with the muffler is installed.
Fastening of average and back parts of the exhaust system is carried out with application of rubber suspension brackets. The reception exhaust pipe fastens through an arm to the transmission.
Problem of the exhaust system is removal of the fulfilled gases in the atmosphere so that they even in the minimum quantity did not get to interior of the car, and also reduction of noise of the engine to low level. That the exhaust system could perform the functions, it has to be in good repair. The condition of the exhaust system exerts impact also on the engine capacity and fuel consumption.
Removal

| 1. The exhaust system can be removed from the car as assembled, and by separate parts. |
| 2. Before removal of any part of the exhaust system lift the corresponding part of the car and record on supports or install the car over a viewing hole. |

Reception exhaust pipe

| 1. Using wooden whetstones or a jack, support the catalytic converter or a reception exhaust pipe in its lowest point. Remove from the reception exhaust pipe Lambda sensor. |
| 2. Unscrew nuts, the fixing flange connections of a reception exhaust pipe with a middle part of an exhaust pipe. |
| 3. Unscrew the bolts fixing an arm of a reception exhaust pipe to the transmission (see rice. An arrangement of bolts of fastening of an arm of a reception exhaust pipe to the transmission). |
| 4. Unscrew nuts and disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a turbocharger or a final collector. Take a reception exhaust pipe from under the car. |

Catalytic converter
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Unscrew nuts of flange connection of the catalytic converter with a reception exhaust pipe. |
| 2. Unscrew a nut and take a coupling bolt from the ring fixing the catalytic converter to an intermediate pipe. |
| 3. Disconnect catalytic преобразо a vatel from an intermediate pipe and take him from under the car. |

Back part of the exhaust system

| 1. Unscrew a nut and take a bolt from the coupling ring fixing a back part of the exhaust system to a middle part. |
| 2. Remove rubber suspension brackets from an exhaust pipe and take an exhaust pipe from under the car. |

Exhaust system assembled

| 1. Using boards, support the catalytic converter or a reception exhaust pipe in its lowermost point. Remove from the reception exhaust pipe Lambda sensor. |
| 2. Unscrew nuts of the flange connection fixing a reception exhaust pipe to a middle part of an exhaust pipe. |
| 3. Unscrew the bolts fixing an arm of fastening of a reception exhaust pipe to the transmission. |
| 4. Using the assistant, exempt the exhaust system from rubber suspension brackets and take it from under the car. |

Installation
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments. |
| 2. Remove all traces of corrosion from connecting flanges and replace sealing laying. |
| 3. Check a condition of rubber suspension brackets of the exhaust system and, if necessary, replace them. |
| 4. Replace consolidation on connection of average and back parts of the exhaust system. |
| 5. On connections with coupling rings before connection of pipes of the exhaust system apply a thin film of special paste for connection sealing. |
| 6. At installation of the exhaust system leave a sufficient and uniform gap between details of the exhaust system and the bottom of a body. |
