2.4.7. Check and adjustment of turns of idling
Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Check and, if necessary adjust an accelerator cable (see subsection 9.8). |
2. Start the engine and warm up it up to the normal working temperature. Switch off everything electric consumers. |
3. Using a tachometer for diesel engines, check idling turns. |

Adjustment
Engines with pneumatic adjustment of turns of idling
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Weaken a lock-nut on the top part of the vacuum chamber of turns of idling which is fixed on a back part of the fuel pump. |
2. Turning the vacuum chamber a wrench, establish the required idling turns. Tighten a lock-nut. |

Engines with ELR management of idling turns
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Disconnect the electric socket from the electromagnetic executive mechanism which is attached on a back part of the fuel pump. |
2. The screw of adjustment of turns of idling is located over the case of the electromagnetic executive mechanism. Weaken a lock-nut and, rotating the adjusting screw, establish the required idling turns. Tighten a lock-nut and connect the electric socket. |

Engines with EDS management of idling turns
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Disconnect the electric socket from the electromagnetic executive mechanism which is attached on a back part of the fuel pump. |
2. The screw of adjustment of turns of idling is located over the case of the electromagnetic executive mechanism. Weaken a lock-nut and, rotating the adjusting screw, establish the required idling turns. Tighten a lock-nut and connect the electric socket. |
3. Turns of idling can also be changed by shift of a crossing point in a special nest. |
4. The nest is established in office of accessories in the back right side of a motor compartment. |
5. For change of provision of a crossing point take it from a nest and establish in new situation which is designated by figures from 1 to 7 on a back part of a nest. |
6. Situation No. 1 corresponds to 600 rpm, and situation No. 7 corresponds to 700 rpm. |
