Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. In a motor compartment disconnect an accelerator cable from a control lever a butterfly valve of the carburetor, previously having removed the square fastener (see rice. Arrangement of the square fastener of a cable of an accelerator). Take an accelerator cable through an opening in a lever arm.
2. Having squeezed brackets of fastening of a plastic clamp, take an accelerator cable cover from an arm (see rice. Arrangement of brackets of fastening of a plastic clamp of fastening of a cover of a cable of an accelerator).
3. In interior of the car disconnect a returnable spring and remove an accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal lever.
4. Unscrew an adjusting nut and take an accelerator cable cover through consolidation of a cover of a motor compartment.
Prevention

Do not remove consolidation of a cable of an accelerator from a partition of a motor compartment.

5. On an external partition remove rubber consolidation of a cable of an accelerator then take a cable in a motor compartment.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Before connection of a cable of an accelerator with the lever of the carburetor adjust the lever and a cable of an accelerator.

Adjustment

Draft and lever of the carburetor
 And – the screw;

In – a roller

Movement of the lever of a butterfly valve on the carburetor to the limiter of opening of a butterfly valve
And – the lever of a butterfly valve;

In – the limiter of opening of a butterfly valve

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start the engine, warm up it up to the normal working temperature and switch off it.
2. On cars with the automatic transmission disconnect a cable of management of pressure from the carburetor lever.
3. On models with the STROMBERG carburetor disconnect an accelerator cable from the lever of the carburetor and weaken the screw on the draft attached to the lever (see rice. Draft and lever of the carburetor). Move draft to such situation that the roller was combined with the limiter of turns of idling. Keeping draft in this situation, fix it by the screw.
4. On models with the PIERBURG carburetor record a plunger of the executive mechanism of a butterfly valve for what press a vacuum hose and give the chance to the engine to work several seconds. Disconnect an accelerator cable from the directing lever and adjust a free wheeling of draft so that the course made 0,5 mm.
5. Connect an accelerator cable to the directing lever.
6. On cars with the mechanical transmission the assistant has to press an accelerator pedal against the stop, and on cars with the automatic transmission the pedal of an accelerator needs to be pressed so that it reached the provision of compulsory inclusion of a low gear, but did not include it.
7. The lever of a butterfly valve on the carburetor in this case has to move to the limiter of opening of a butterfly valve. For adjustment rotate an adjusting nut in an arm (see rice. 8. Release an accelerator pedal, at the same time the roller of draft has to move to the limiter of turns of idling on the directing lever.
9. In this situation the end face of a cover of a cable of an accelerator has to adjoin to a spring densely. For adjustment move a fixing nut on the end of a cable of an accelerator from an accelerator pedal (see rice. An arrangement of a nut of adjustment of a free wheeling of a cable of an accelerator from an accelerator pedal).
10. On models connect a cable of pressure to the automatic transmission and adjust it.
