22:13. Vacuum amplifier of brakes

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Press a brake pedal several times at the idle engine to create the identical pressure close to atmospheric in cavities of the vacuum amplifier. At the same time determine by the effort enclosed to a pedal whether there is no jamming of the case of the valve. Stop brake loops in the middle of its course and start the engine. At the serviceable vacuum amplifier the brake pedal after start of the engine has to leave forward. If the pedal does not leave forward, check fastening of a tip of a hose, connection of fastening of a flange of a tip in the amplifier, a condition of a hose and the union. On cars with diesel engines check operability of the vacuum pump.

Removal

Prevention

At installation of the vacuum amplifier of brakes it is necessary to use new nuts of fastening.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the main brake cylinder.
2. Unscrew a connecting nut and disconnect a vacuum hose from the vacuum amplifier of brakes.
3. Remove finishing of the lower part of the dashboard from the driver.
4. Remove a spring bracket and take the pin fixing a brake pedal to a pusher of the vacuum amplifier of brakes.
5. In interior of the car unscrew four nuts of fastening and take the vacuum amplifier of brakes from a motor compartment.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before installation of the vacuum amplifier of brakes check a condition of laying on a back part of the vacuum amplifier. If laying is damaged, replace it.
2. Establish the vacuum amplifier of brakes on a partition of a motor compartment.
3. Working in interior of the car, check that the tip of a pusher of the vacuum amplifier of brakes was combined with an opening in a brake pedal. Put four clamps of fastening of the vacuum amplifier of brakes and tighten them the required moment.
4. Grease a pin of fastening of a tip of the vacuum amplifier of brakes to a brake pedal, insert it into place and fix by a fastening bracket.
5. Establish the lower finishing of the dashboard from the driver.
6. Connect a vacuum hose to the vacuum amplifier of brakes and fix by a connecting nut, having tightened it the required moment.
7. Install the main brake cylinder. Start the engine and check tightness of the vacuum amplifier of brakes and hoses.
