21.6. Power shafts
Prevention
At installation of a power shaft it is necessary to use new nuts of fastening of a power shaft to a nave of a back wheel and new bolts of fastening of a power shaft to a flange of reverse main gear.
Removal
Unscrewing of bolts of fastening of a power shaft to a flange of reverse main gear
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Using a chisel or the screw-driver, remove a nave nut cap. Using a punch and the hammer, being careful, unbend a fillet of a nut of fastening of a nave from a flute of a power shaft. Weaken a nut of fastening of a power shaft and bolts of fastening of a wheel. |
2. Lift a back part of the car and record on supports. |
3. Remove the corresponding back wheel. At removal of the left power shaft remove an exhaust pipe. |
4. Unscrew bolts and remove the fastening plate fixing a power shaft to a flange of reverse main gear. Using a soft wire, suspend a power shaft to the car bottom (see rice. Unscrewing of bolts of fastening of a power shaft to a flange of reverse main gear).
Prevention
Exclude a possibility of free sagging of a power shaft as it can bring the external hinge of equal angular speeds of a power shaft. At installation of a power shaft it is necessary to use new bolts of fastening of the internal hinge of a power shaft.

5. Unscrew a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave and take a power shaft from a nave. If the power shaft densely sits in a nave, for its extraction use a wooden kiyanka or the special tool fastening bolts to a nave. |
6. Take a power shaft from under the car. |
