5.8.1. The top cover of a driving chain (model with system of injection of CIS fuel)

Prevention

At installation of the top cover of a driving chain it is necessary to use sealant and new laying.

Removal

Unscrewing of bolts of fastening of a cover of the distributor of ignition on models with system of injection of CIS fuel

Removal of a rotor of the distributor of ignition

Unscrewing of a bolt of fastening of a rotor of the distributor of ignition

Removal of the filter on models with system of injection of CIS fuel

Unscrewing of a plastic board on models with system of injection of CIS fuel

Removal of a sealing ring of round section
After a detachment of a pipe of cooling liquid from the water pump remove a sealing ring of round section from a pipe.

Detachment of the electric socket from the sensor of position of the camshaft

Removal of the sensor of position of the camshaft operating inlet valves on models with system of injection of CIS fuel

Unscrewing of the bolt fixing a rack of the mechanism of a tension of an auxiliary driving belt to a cover of a driving chain on models with system of injection of CIS fuel

Unscrewing of bolts of fastening of the top cover of a driving chain on models with system of injection of CIS fuel

Unscrewing of two bolts of fastening of a cover of a driving chain which also fix an engine support

Removal of the top cover of a driving chain

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Merge cooling liquid from the cooling system.
3. Uncover a head of the block of cylinders.
4. Disconnect the central high-voltage wire from an ignition distributor cover.
5. Unscrew bolts of fastening and uncover the ignition distributor (see rice. Unscrewing of bolts of fastening of a cover of the distributor of ignition on models with system of injection of CIS fuel). Move an ignition distributor cover aside, without disconnecting from it the remained high-voltage wires.
6. Unscrew screws and remove a distributor rotor (see rice. Removal of a rotor of the distributor of ignition).
7. Unscrew the central bolt and remove the ignition distributor rotor drive (see rice. Unscrewing of a bolt of fastening of a rotor of the distributor of ignition).
8. Remove the filter and consolidation from the top cover of a driving chain (see rice. Removal of the filter on models with system of injection of CIS fuel).
9. Remove the top uspokoitel of a chain.
10. Remove a high-voltage wire and unscrew a plastic board from the basis of the top cover of a driving chain (see rice. Unscrewing of a plastic board on models with system of injection of CIS fuel).
11. Unscrew the bolts fixing a pipe of supply of cooling liquid to the fan of a radiator and the water pump. Disconnect a pipe from the water pump and move it aside (see rice. Removal of a sealing ring of round section).
12. Disconnect the electric socket from the sensor of position of the camshaft and the relay of the mechanism of adjustment of the camshaft operating inlet valves (see rice. 13. Unscrew an intermediate pulley of an auxiliary driving belt.
14. Unscrew a bolt, the fixing arm of a wire of high voltage to the lower cover of a driving chain.
15. From the top cover of a driving chain unscrew the stopper placed under the camshaft operating inlet valves.
16. Unscrew the nut and a bolt fixing an arm of a vacuum hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes to a forward support of the engine.
17. Unscrew the bolt fixing to a drain of the mechanism of a tension of an auxiliary driving belt to a cover of a driving chain (see rice. Unscrewing of the bolt fixing a rack of the mechanism of a tension of an auxiliary driving belt to a cover of a driving chain on models with system of injection of CIS fuel). Note an arrangement of washers and laying for the correct repeated installation.
18. On models with the cranked branch pipe of the cooling system established in the center of the top cover of a driving chain disconnect a hose from a cranked branch pipe, unscrew bolts and remove a cranked branch pipe.
19. Unscrew bolts of fastening of the top cover of a driving chain. At the same time keep in mind that the lower right bolt remains in a cover. Two bolts fixing the top cover of a driving chain also fix a forward support of the engine (see rice. 20. Remove the top cover of a driving chain together with the lower right bolt (see rice. Removal of the top cover of a driving chain).
21. Remove laying from a flute in the top part of the lower cover of a driving chain.

Installation

Installation of a new sealing ring of the camshaft operating final valves

Installation of new laying in a groove of the lower cover of a driving chain

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear the interfaced surfaces of the top cover of a driving chain and a head of the block of cylinders.
2. Replace the sealing ring of the camshaft operating final valves, located in a cover of a driving chain (see rice. Installation of a new sealing ring of the camshaft operating final valves).
3. Measure depth of installation of a sealing ring, then, using a screw-driver edge, take a sealing ring from the top cover of a driving chain.
4. Clear a nest of a sealing ring in the top cover of a driving chain.
5. Using a tubular mandrel of the corresponding diameter, establish a new sealing ring in a nest on earlier measured depth.
6. Not to damage working edges of a sealing ring at installation of a cover of a driving chain, wrap up an adhesive tape a forward end face of the camshaft operating final valves.
7. Apply a sealant layer on a junction of the top part of the lower cover of a driving chain with a head of the block of cylinders.
8. Establish new laying in a groove in the top part of the lower cover of a driving chain. Grease the top party of laying (see rice. Installation of new laying in a groove of the lower cover of a driving chain).
9. Apply a thin film of sealant on the interfaced surfaces of a head of the block of cylinders and the top cover of a driving chain.
10. Establish the lower right bolt in a cover of a driving chain, then establish a cover on a head of the block of cylinders.
11. Establish the remained bolts of fastening of a cover and evenly and gradually tighten them the required moment, since the lower bolts.
12. Remove an adhesive tape from a forward end face of the camshaft operating final valves.
13. Further installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system.
