Adjustment of turns of idling of the engine is carried out with application of an exact tachometer without removal of the air filter.

Use of a face key for adjustment of quality of fuel mix
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Install the analyzer of exhaust gases in an exhaust pipe. |
| 2. Start the engine in the idling mode. On cars with the automatic transmission install the selector lever in position of PARK. Check that all electric consumers, including the conditioner, are switched off. |
| 3. The screw of adjustment of turns of idling is available through dredging in the lower part of a casing of the air filter (see rice. Access to the screw of adjustment of turns of idling). |
| 4. Rotating the adjusting screw, establish the required idling turns. Quickly increase engine turns, then repeatedly measure and, if necessary, adjust idling turns. |
| 5. For adjustment of contents WITH in exhaust gases remove a casing of the air filter, take a cap of the screw of adjustment of quality of mix and repeatedly establish a casing of the air filter. |
| 6. Start the engine in the idling mode, then for 10 seconds increase engine turns to 2 000 rpm and repeatedly return it to the idling mode. |
| 7. Check contents WITH. For adjustment of contents WITH establish a face key in a tube of the screw of quality of mix and press a key in order that the regulator entered gearing with the adjusting screw (see rice. Use of a face key for adjustment of quality of fuel mix). |
| 8. Rotating the adjusting screw, adjust contents WITH. Rotation of the screw clockwise enriches fuel mix, and counterclockwise impoverishes. |
| 9. Quickly increase engine turns to 2 000 rpm, then transfer the engine to the mode of idling and repeatedly measure contents WITH. When carrying out adjustment turn the adjusting screw of quality of mix every time only on a half of a turn. |
| 10. Remove all instrumentations from the car and install a new cap on the screw of adjustment of quality of mix. |
