3.5. Top Dead Point (TDP) of the piston of the first cylinder
The top dead point of the piston is a point through which there passes each piston at a provorachivaniye of a bent shaft. Each piston reaches the provision of VMT at the end of a compression step, then again at the end of an exhaust step. For the purpose of installation of the mechanism of gas distribution of the engine VMT of the piston of the first cylinder is used.
Combination of a tag of VMT on a pulley of a bent shaft with the index
Combination of a groove on a camshaft flange with the top plane of a head of the block of cylinders

| 1. Note position of the plug of a high-voltage wire of the first cylinder on a distributor cover. |
| 2. Uncover a head of the block of cylinders. |
3. For a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft turn a bent shaft of the engine clockwise, the following tags will not be combined with indexes yet (see rice. Combination of a tag of VMT on a pulley of a bent shaft with the index, Combination of a groove on a camshaft flange with the top plane of a head of the block of cylinders):
and – VMT tag on a pulley of a bent shaft with the index on a cover of a driving chain;
b – dredging on a flange on a forward part of the camshaft with the top plane of a head of the block of cylinders;
with – an ignition distributor rotor with a groove in the ignition distributor case. |
| 4. After combination of all tags the piston of the first cylinder is in the top dead point in a compression step. |
