Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator and merge cooling liquid from the cooling system.
2. Remove the fan of a radiator and a pulley of an auxiliary driving belt from the water pump.
3. Remove the thermostat, then unscrew a thermostat casing from a head of the block of cylinders. Weaken collars and disconnect by-pass a hose from the water pump and remove a thermostat casing from the engine (see rice. 4. Weaken collars and disconnect a hose of the lower tank of a radiator and a returnable hose of a heater from the water pump (see rice. Fastening of the lower hose of a radiator and returnable hose of a heater to the water pump).
5. Weaken a collar and disconnect an auxiliary hose from the left side of the water pump.
6. On early models with several auxiliary driving belts remove the electromagnetic coupling from an axis of the water pump.
7. On late models with one auxiliary driving belt disconnect from the electromagnetic coupling электричес a cue the socket and release wires from fastening brackets.
8. Remove the generator and unscrew an arm of fastening of the generator from the water pump.
9. Unscrew bolts and remove the water pump from the engine (see rice. Arrangement of the left bolts of fastening of the water pump, Removal of the water pump from the engine). Note an arrangement of bolts as they have various length.

Installation

Installation of new laying of the water pump

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Being careful, clear the interfaced surfaces of the water pump and the block of cylinders of traces of old laying. Similarly clear the interfaced surfaces of a casing of the thermostat and a head of the block of cylinders.
2. Install the water pump with new laying in the sequence, the return to removal (see rice. Installation of new laying of the water pump). Establish and adjust a tension of auxiliary driving belts. Fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system.
