9.11. Removal and installation of the carburetor

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. You make removal of the carburetor on the cold engine. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Remove the air filter.
3. Using clips, press the giving and returnable fuel hoses, then weaken collars and remove hoses from the carburetor.
4. For removal of pressure in the cooling system uncover a broad tank. Using clips, press hoses of supply of cooling liquid to the carburetor, weaken collars and remove hoses from the carburetor.
Prevention

In the absence of clips partially merge cooling liquid from the cooling system.


5. Disconnect an accelerator cable from the lever of a butterfly valve.
6. On the PIERBURG carburetor disconnect additional draft from a control lever on the carburetor.
7. On cars with the automatic transmission disconnect a cable of management of pressure from the carburetor.
8. Mark and disconnect electric sockets from the carburetor. Unscrew the screw and remove the grounding tire from the carburetor.
9. Mark and disconnect vacuum hoses from the carburetor.
10. Unscrew an arm of support of an inlet collector. Unscrew bolts and remove the carburetor from an inlet collector. Remove an intermediate plate and laying.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments.
2. At installation of the carburetor use new laying.
3. Tighten bolts and screws of fastening the required moment.
4. According to earlier made marking connect the giving and returnable fuel hoses.
5. According to earlier made marking connect electric sockets to the carburetor.
6. Connect hoses of supply of cooling liquid to the carburetor and add cooling liquid in the cooling system.
7. On cars with the automatic transmission connect a cable of management of pressure to the carburetor.
8. Check and, if necessary, add oil in the carburetor shock-absorber.
9. Start the engine and check turns of idling and maintenance WITH in exhaust gases.
