3.12.2. Dismantling, check and assembly


1. Check the working surfaces of bearings of the camshaft and contours of cams of the camshaft for wear. With any wear replace the camshaft. When replacing the camshaft it is also necessary to replace yokes.

Extraction of an axis of a yoke with use of a long bolt of M8

1. After removal of covers of bearings of the camshaft, it is possible to remove yokes from covers of bearings, taking short axes of yokes from covers. Before removal of yokes check that on them there is a marking, and also note an arrangement of yokes concerning a camshaft bearing cover.
2. For extraction of an axis of a yoke from a cover of the bearing of the camshaft it is necessary to use the inertial hammer with a special adapter. Alternatively screw in a long bolt of M8 with a washer in an axis of a yoke and, striking a washer with the hammer, extend a yoke axis from a camshaft bearing cover (see rice. Extraction of an axis of a yoke with use of a long bolt of M8). After extraction of an axis remove a yoke. You store the removed details so that in the subsequent they could be established on the places.
3. Check a condition of contact washers for wear. With wear it is necessary to replace a detail in a set.
4. Oil working surfaces of a yoke pure engine, then establish yokes on a cover and fix by an axis. At repeated installation of details check that they fell into place. Establish axes of yokes so that dredging for a bolt of fastening of a cover of the bearing of the camshaft in each axis was combined with an opening under a bolt in a bearing cover. In the absence of special tools for a press fitting of an axis of yokes press an axis with use of a long bolt of M8 and the hammer.

Use of a thin steel wire for pressing of the ball valve of a hydraulic pusher


1. For extraction of a pusher from a yoke insert the corresponding drift through an opening in the top part of a yoke and squeeze out a pusher from a yoke.
2. Take a pro-masonry washer from a nest for a pusher in a yoke (see rice. Yoke details, the Arrangement of a hydraulic pusher in a yoke).
3. Have yoke details so that they in the subsequent could be established on the places.
4. Check a condition of pushers and, if necessary, replace them.
5. Hydraulic pushers of valves are designed in such a way that pusher course size for compensation of a gap of valves is insignificant. It is connected with the insignificant sizes of hydraulic pushers of valves. In order that there was enough course of a hydraulic pusher for compensation of gaps of valves, pro-masonry washers of various thickness are used.
6. If during the operation of the engine the knock of valves, perhaps is heard, the size of a valvate gap does not correspond technical requirements. In this case it is necessary to establish a new pro-masonry washer of other thickness.
7. It is necessary for determination of the required thickness of a pro-masonry washer use of the special tool and this work it is necessary to perform at service station.
8. Before installation of hydraulic pushers they need to be filled with engine oil. For this purpose establish pushers vertically in the capacity filled with pure engine oil. A thin steel wire press the ball valve and, moving a pusher plunger up, enter oil into a working cavity of a pusher.
9. Repeat this operation until the working camera of a hydraulic pusher is not filled completely with oil (see rice. Use of a thin steel wire for pressing of the ball valve of a hydraulic pusher).
10. Establish a pro-masonry washer in a pusher nest in a yoke, and the oil channel of a washer has to be directed to a hydraulic pusher. Establish a hydraulic pusher in a yoke.
