| 1. On the 4-cylinder engine remove the oil pallet, a cover of a driving chain, a driving chain and a flywheel / plate of the drive. If necessary also remove an asterisk of a bent shaft. |
| 2. On 6-cylinder petrol SOHC engines remove the oil pallet, the oil pump, the lower cover driving a chain, a driving chain and a flywheel / plate of the drive. If necessary also remove an asterisk of a bent shaft. |
| 3. On 6-cylinder petrol DOHC engines remove the oil pallet, the oil pump, a masloulavlivayushchy plate, the lower cover of a driving chain, a driving chain and a flywheel / plate of the drive. If necessary also remove an asterisk of a bent shaft. |
| 4. On diesel engines remove the oil pallet, the oil pump, a masloulavlivayushchy plate, a cover of a driving chain, a driving chain and a flywheel / plate of the drive. If necessary also remove an asterisk of a bent shaft. |
| 5. Unscrew bolts and remove a back cover of a bent shaft from the block of cylinders. Remove laying (see rice. An arrangement of bolts of fastening of a back cover of a bent shaft on the 4-cylinder petrol engine). |
6. Remove pistons and rods. If replacement of pistons with rods or piston rings is not required, there is no need to remove a head of the block of cylinders and to remove pistons with rods. In this case install pistons with rods so that rods did not touch necks of a bent shaft.
Prevention
If pistons are placed in cylinders with the established head of the block of cylinders on the engine, be careful that there was no impact of pistons about the valve.

| 8. Check existence of marking on covers of radical bearings. In the absence of marking put it. On 4-cylinder engines of a cover of radical bearings are marked by figures from 1 to 5 from a driving chain. Similarly on 5-cylinder engines of a cover are numbered by figures from 1 to 6, and on 6-cylinder engines in figures from 1 to 7 (see rice. | 9. Unscrew bolts and uncover radical bearings with inserts (see rice. Removal of a cover of the radical bearing of a bent shaft). |
| 10. Note an arrangement and orientation of an arm of a maslozaborny tube which also fastens bolts of fastening of a cover of the radical bearing. |
11. Remove the lower persistent half rings for adjustment of an axial side play of a bent shaft from two parties I correspond Russian cabbage soup of a cover of the radical bearing (see rice. Removal of a persistent half ring from a cover of the radical bearing):
– on 4-cylinder engines from a cover of the central radical bearing No. 3;
– on 5-cylinder engines from a cover of the radical bearing No. 4;
– on 6-cylinder engines from a cover of the radical bearing No. 5. |
| 12. Being careful, remove a bent shaft. |
| 13. Remove the top inserts of radical bearings from the block of cylinders and put them with the corresponding covers. Remove the top persistent half rings (see rice. Removal of the top persistent half rings from the block of cylinders of the engine). |
