PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The head of the block of cylinders is removed on the cold engine together with inlet and final collectors.
2. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
3. Open and establish a cowl in vertical position.
4. Merge cooling liquid from the cooling system.
5. Remove a camshaft asterisk.
6. Screw up an additional bolt in the top adjusting pin of an uspokoitel of a chain. Using the inertial hammer and an adapter, for a head of a bolt take an adjusting pin of an uspokoitel of a chain (see rice. Use of the inertial hammer for extraction of the top adjusting pin of an uspokoitel of a driving chain).
7. Unscrew a bolt, the fixing pipe arm for the probe of measurement of level of oil to a head of the block of cylinders.
8. Unscrew and remove two arms of support of an inlet collector (see rice. Unscrewing of a bolt of fastening of an arm of support of an inlet collector).
9. Weaken a collar and remove a short hose of the water pump from a head of the block of cylinders (see rice. An arrangement of a collar of fastening of a hose of the water pump to a head of the block of cylinders).
10. Weaken a collar and remove a hose of return of cooling liquid from a heater from the union on a back part of a head of the block of cylinders.
11. On models with the automatic transmission unscrew the bolt fixing a pipe for the probe of measurement of level of oil to a head of the block of cylinders (see rice. 12. Take off pressure in fuel system and disconnect giving and returnable fuel tubes.
13. Disconnect an accelerator cable from the lever of a butterfly valve.
14. On models with the automatic transmission disconnect a cable of management of pressure from draft of a butterfly valve.
15. Mark and disconnect all electric sockets from a head of the block of cylinders.
16. Take a plait of wires of the engine from fastening brackets on the engine.
17. Disconnect a vacuum hose and the electric socket from the control unit of ignition.
18. Unscrew the screw and disconnect a wire from a contact block on an arm of the diagnostic socket (see rice. An arrangement of a contact block on an arm the diagnostician of the chesky socket).
19. Unscrew the diagnostic socket and disconnect the gray socket on the left side of a nest.
20. Disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a final collector.
21. Check that all hoses and электричес sockets are disconnected by Kia from a head of the block of cylinders.
22. Evenly and gradually weaken bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders in the sequence, return shown in the drawing Sequence of Tightening of Bolts of Fastening of a Head of the Block of Cylinders.
23. Take bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders.
24. Hook on a head of the block of cylinders slings of the load-lifting mechanism and, being careful, raise a head and take it from a motor compartment (see rice. Removal of a head of the block of cylinders from the engine).
25. Remove laying of a head of the block of cylinders.

Preparation of a head for installation

Measurement of length of a bolt of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders have to be absolutely pure. For their cleaning use a firm plastic or wooden scraper. When cleaning be careful as it is very easy to damage aluminum alloy. Check that the deposit did not get to oil and water canals. It is especially important for the lubrication system as the deposit can block supply of oil to engine components. If necessary clear channels, check the interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders for existence of notches, deep scratches and other damages. If defects small, they can be removed with machining. At major defects of a detail are subject to replacement.
2. Using a metal ruler and the probe, check planeness of the interfaced surfaces.
3. Clear openings under bolts in the block of cylinders. Screwing up of a bolt in the openings filled with oil can break off the block because of hydraulic pressure.
4. Measure length of bolts from the head basis (see rice. Measurement of length of a bolt of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders). If length of a bolt exceeds admissible limits, replace all bolts in a set.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check that adjusting tags of cranked and distributive shaft are combined with indexes.
2. Establish laying of a head of the block of cylinders on the directing pins on the block of cylinders.
3. Being careful, establish a head of the block of cylinders.
4. Grease a carving and the lower surface of a head of a bolt, insert bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders and screw in them by hand.
5. Gradually and evenly in several stages tighten bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders in the sequence shown in the drawing Sequence of Tightening of Bolts of Fastening of a Head of the Block of Cylinders.
6. Connect a reception exhaust pipe to a final collector.
7. Connect vacuum hoses and electric sockets to a head of the block of cylinders. Fix a plait of wires of the engine by brackets.
8. On models with the automatic transmission connect a cable of management of pressure to draft of a butterfly valve.
9. Connect an accelerator cable to the lever of a butterfly valve.
10. Connect the giving and returnable fuel-supply lines.
11. On models with the automatic transmission fix a pipe for the probe of measurement of level of oil in the transmission to the engine.
12. Install a hose of supply of cooling liquid to a heater on the union on a back part of a head of the block of cylinders. Connect a hose of supply of cooling liquid from the water pump.
13. Establish two arms of support of an inlet collector.
14. Screw in a bolt, the fixing pipe arm for the probe of measurement of level of engine oil to a head of the block of cylinders.
15. Check correctness of an arrangement of an uspokoitel of a driving chain and establish an adjusting pin of an uspokoitel.
16. Establish a camshaft asterisk.
17. Add cooling liquid in the cooling system.
18. Connect a weight wire to the accumulator and close a cowl.
