Top cover of a driving chain
Prevention
At installation of a cover of a driving chain it is necessary to use sealant, new sealing laying and a new sealing ring of round section of a pipe of cooling liquid. It is also desirable to make replacement of a forward sealing ring of the camshaft.
Removal
Unscrewing of the central bolt (1) for removal of the drive of a rotor of the distributor (2)
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Uncover a head of the block of cylinders. |
| 2. Press the fixing brackets and remove an ignition distributor casing. Remove the central high-voltage wire from a cover of the distributor of ignition, unscrew three screws, uncover the distributor and move it aside, without disconnecting from it other high-voltage wires. |
| 3. Partially merge cooling liquid from the cooling system. |
| 4. Disconnect a hose of supply of cooling liquid to a heater from the forward party of a head of the block of cylinders. |
| 5. Unscrew bolts and remove a pipe of supply of cooling liquid from the water pump. |
| 6. Unscrew three screws and remove a distributor rotor. |
| 7. Unscrew the central bolt and remove the distributor rotor drive (see rice. Unscrewing of the central bolt for removal of the drive of a rotor of the distributor). Remove a plastic casing from a forward and top part of a cover of a driving chain. |
| 8. Unscrew bolts of fastening of the top cover of a driving chain and uncover. The top cover of a driving chain is established on I direct shchy pins to sealant. |
| 9. Remove sealing laying from a flute in the top part of the lower cover of a driving chain. |

Installation

| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Clear the interfaced surfaces of a cover of a driving chain and a head of the block of cylinders of the sealant remains. |
| 2. Replace a sealing ring of the camshaft in the top cover of a driving chain. |
| 3. Using a screw-driver edge, take an old sealing ring from the top cover of a driving chain. |
| 4. Clear a nest for installation of a sealing ring. Establish a new sealing ring in a nest so that the face surface of a sealing ring was flush with a surface of a cover of a driving chain. |
| 5. For protection of working edges of a new sealing ring against damage at its installation wind with an adhesive tape a camshaft end face. |
| 6. Put a sealant layer in a junction of the top part of the lower cover of a driving chain with a head of the block of cylinders (see rice. Places of putting sealant before installation of new laying on the lower cover of a driving chain). Establish new laying in a groove in the top part of the lower cover of a driving chain. |
| 7. Apply a thin film of sealant on the interfaced surfaces of a head of the block of cylinders and the top cover of a driving chain. |
| 8. Grease working edges of a sealing ring of the camshaft with pure engine oil and establish the top cover of a driving chain. Fix a cover by bolts, having tightened them the required moment. |
| 9. Remove an adhesive tape from a camshaft end face. |
| 10. In the presence establish forward and top casings on a cover of a driving chain. Install the distributor rotor drive. At the same time the ledge on the number distributor to a shaft has to enter a flute in the drive plug. Screw in the central bolt of fastening of the drive of a rotor of the distributor and tighten it the required moment. |
| 11. Establish a rotor of the distributor and fix it by screws. |
| 12. Establish a new sealing ring of round section on a pipe of supply of cooling liquid, install a pipe on the water pump and fix by bolts. |
| 13. Dress a hose of cooling liquid on a pipe. |
| 14. Establish a cover of the distributor of ignition and connect to it the central high-voltage wire. |
| 15. Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders. |
| 16. Fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system. |
