Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a camshaft asterisk.
2. Check that covers of bearings of the camshaft are numbered, beginning from a driving chain.
3. Unscrew bolts of fastening of covers of bearings of the camshaft (see rice. The sequence of removal of covers of bearings of the camshaft on the 4-cylinder engine, the Sequence of removal of covers of bearings of the camshaft on the 5-cylinder engine, the Sequence of removal of covers of bearings of the camshaft on the 6-cylinder engine).
Prevention

Observe the follower a nost of unscrewing of bolts of fastening of covers of the camshaft in order to avoid damage of the camshaft.

Four-cylinder engines

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Gradually and evenly weaken bolts of fastening of covers of bearings of the camshaft No. 1, 3 and 5 and uncover.
2. Gradually in the diagonal sequence weaken bolts of fastening of the second and fourth covers of bearings of the camshaft on a half of a turn for each pass before full unscrewing of bolts. It is necessary for gradual and uniform removal of pressure of valvate springs upon the camshaft.
3. Remove the camshaft from a head of the block of cylinders.

Five-cylinder engines

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Gradually and evenly weaken bolts of fastening of covers of bearings of the camshaft No. 1, 2 and 6 and uncover.
2. Gradually in the diagonal sequence weaken bolts of fastening of 3, 4 and 5 bearings of the camshaft on a half of a turn for each pass before full unscrewing of bolts. It is necessary for gradual and uniform removal of pressure of valvate springs upon the camshaft.
3. Remove the camshaft from a head of the block of cylinders.

Six-cylinder engines

Arrangement of a persistent half ring for adjustment of an axial side play of the camshaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Gradually and evenly weaken bolts of fastening of covers of bearings of the camshaft No. 1, 5 and 6 and uncover.
2. Gradually in the diagonal sequence weaken bolts of fastening 2, 3, 4, and 7 covers of bearings of the camshaft on a half of a turn for each pass before full unscrewing of bolts. It is necessary for gradual and uniform removal of pressure of valvate springs upon the camshaft.
3. Remove the camshaft from a head of the block of cylinders.
4. Remove a persistent half ring of regulir ки an axial side play of the camshaft from a back cover of the bearing of the camshaft (see rice. An arrangement of a persistent half ring for adjustment of an axial side play of the camshaft).
5. Take hydraulic pushers of valves from nests in a head of the block of cylinders. Arrange hydraulic pushers vertically in the container with pure engine oil so that they could be established on the places.
