9.10.1. Replacement of elements of the carburetor
EXECUTIVE MECHANISM OF THE GATE
Executive mechanism of the gate of the PIERBURG carburetor
|
And – the carburetor case;
B – draft;
C – case of the executive mechanism;
D – fixing ring;
E – screw |
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Remove the air filter. |
2. Disconnect electric sockets from the executive mechanism. |
3. Unscrew the screw and remove a ring of fastening of the executive mechanism (see rice. Executive mechanism of the gate of the PIERBURG carburetor). |
4. Disconnect draft from the gate lever, then turn the case of the executive mechanism, take the fixing pin and remove the executive mechanism from the carburetor. |
5. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. |
|
EXECUTIVE MECHANISM OF THE BUTTERFLY VALVE
Executive mechanism of the PIERBURG carburetor
|
And – the case of the executive mechanism;
B – vacuum hose;
C – nut;
D – carburetor case;
E – spring;
F – adjusting screw |
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Remove the air filter. |
2. Disconnect the electric socket and a vacuum hose and lateral face of the executive mechanism. |
3. Unscrew three nuts and remove the executive mechanism from the carburetor (see rice. Executive mechanism of the PIERBURG carburetor). |
4. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Check that the gap between draft of the executive mechanism and the screw on the lever of a butterfly valve has to be in limits of 1,5 - 2,5 mm. |

SENSOR OF TEMPERATURE OF COOLING LIQUID
Arrangement of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid on a head of the block of cylinders
|
And – the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid;
B – sealing ring;
C – head of the block of cylinders |
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid is installed in a forward part of a head of the block of cylinders (see rice. An arrangement of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid on a head of the block of cylinders). |
2. Disconnect the electric socket from the sensor. |
3. Check that the engine cold, then for a short time unscrew a cover from a broad tank to take off pressure in the cooling system. |
4. Unscrew the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid and remove a sealing ring. |
5. Operability of the sensor the temperata ры cooling liquid can be checked, heating it in a vessel with water. For determination of water temperature use the thermometer. Having connected an ohmmeter to contacts of the sensor, measure sensor resistance at various temperatures. |
6. Installation of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid is made in the sequence, the return to removal. |

ELECTRONIC CONTROL DEVICE (ECU)
Prevention
The electronic control device (ECU) has the details sensitive to static electricity therefore at a detachment of electric sockets from the block (ECU) do not touch by hands or instruments of contacts of the socket as at the same time it is possible to damage ECU block elements. During the work with the ECU block remove static electricity from a body, having concerned the grounded metal objects. Disconnect electric sockets from the ECU block only for time necessary for repair.
The ECU block is located in a back right part of a motor compartment.
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. |
2. Release brackets and remove an ECU block casing. |
3. Squeeze the fixing brackets on the ECU block and take the multicontact electric socket from the block. At extraction of the socket be careful not to damage contacts of the socket. |
4. Unscrew screws and remove the ECU block. |
5. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. |
