Prevention

For removal of the top uspokoitel of a chain it is necessary to use the inertial hammer with an adapter.

TENSION MECHANISM BOOT

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a head of the block of cylinders.
2. Uncover a driving chain.
3. Unscrew the mechanism of a tension of a driving chain.
4. Take off a tension mechanism boot.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check a condition of a boot of the mechanism of a tension for lack of wear and damages and if necessary, replace it.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a tension mechanism boot.
2. Screw in the mechanism of a tension of a driving chain.
3. Establish a cover of a driving chain.
4. Establish a head of the block of cylinders.

TOP USPOKOITEL OF THE CHAIN

Removal

Elements of the top uspokoitel of a chain
 1 – top adjusting pin;

2 – lower adjusting pin;

3 – top uspokoitel of a driving chain

Use of the inertial hammer with an adapter for extraction of the top adjusting pin of an uspokoitel of a chain

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a camshaft asterisk.
2. Screw in an additional bolt in one of adjusting pins of the top uspokoitel of a chain and, using the inertial hammer with an adapter, for a head of an additional bolt take an adjusting pin of an uspokoitel of a chain (see rice. 3. Similarly take the second adjusting pin.
4. Remove the top uspokoitel of a chain from a head of the block of cylinders.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check a condition of a boot of the mechanism of a tension for lack of wear and damages and if necessary, replace it.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish the top uspokoitel of a chain in a head of the block of cylinders and insert half adjusting pins.
2. Apply a thin film of sealant on the acting surface of adjusting pins and finally press pins in a head of the block of cylinders.
3. Establish a camshaft asterisk.

LOWER USPOKOITEL OF THE CHAIN

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover a driving chain.
2. Unscrew the mechanism of a tension of a driving chain.
3. Remove the lower uspokoitel of a chain from a hinged finger.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check a condition of the lower uspokoitel of a chain for lack of wear and damages and if necessary, replace it.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish the lower uspokoitel of a driving chain on a hinged finger.
2. Screw in the mechanism of a tension of a driving chain.
3. Establish a cover of a driving chain.
