23.9. Forward stabilizer of cross stability

Prevention

At installation of the stabilizer of cross stability it is necessary to use new nuts of fastening of clips of the stabilizer.

Removal

Unscrewing of the nut fixing a clip which, in turn, fixes the stabilizer of cross resistance to the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket

Unscrewing of the nuts fixing clips which, in turn, fix the stabilizer of cross resistance to body arms

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Tighten the parking brake, then lift a forward part of the car and record on supports. Remove forward wheels.
2. Unscrew screws and remove an engine mudguard from the lower part of a motor compartment.
3. Put the tags defining mutual position of plugs of fastening and the stabilizer of cross stability.
4. Unscrew nuts and remove the clips fixing the stabilizer of cross resistance to the lower levers of a forward suspension bracket (see rice. Unscrewing of the nut fixing a clip which, in turn, fixes the stabilizer of cross resistance to the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket).
5. Unscrew nuts and take bolts, the fixing clips of the stabilizer of cross resistance to body arms, and remove clips (see rice. Unscrewing of the nuts fixing clips which, in turn, fix the stabilizer of cross resistance to body arms).
6. Take the stabilizer of cross stability from under the car.
7. Check the stabilizer of cross stability for wear and mechanical damages. Pay special attention to a condition of plugs of installation of the stabilizer.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If acted, establish arms of fastening of the stabilizer of cross stability on a body and fix by bolts, having tightened them the required moment.
2. Moisten adjusting plugs of the stabilizer with soap water and install them into place.
3. Combine rubber pillows according to earlier put tags and install the stabilizer of cross stability on the car.
4. Establish rubber pillows of the stabilizer of cross stability on arms and establish on them clips. Insert bolts of fastening of clips and screw on them new nuts, but do not tighten them finally.
5. Establish the rubber pillows located at edges of the stabilizer of cross stability on the lower levers of a forward suspension bracket, establish on them clips and fix by new nuts, having tightened them the required moment.
6. Check that the tags put before removal of the stabilizer were combined and tighten the required moment of a nut of fastening of clips of the stabilizer to body arms.
7. Establish a body mudguard.
8. Establish wheels, then lower the car on the earth and tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel the required moment.
